A fresh start is possible. Let our program be your springboard to a new tomorrow.

What’s Different About Our Approach?

We understand that your child is one-of-a-kind, and so is our treatment approach. Our program combines state-of-the-art evidence-based clinical therapies with holistic healing practices for whole-person wellness. We integrate family intervention strategies to strengthen your bonds and advanced behavioral treatment techniques to address the root causes of your teen’s struggles. Here, your child isn’t just another patient. They’re a young person with immense potential, deserving of personalized, compassionate care.

What Role Do Families Play?

At Guardian, we believe in the power of family. Our approach shifts the focus from seeing the child as the problem to recognizing the family as the solution. When we treat our adolescent clients, we treat the whole family unit. We understand that everyone plays a crucial role in your child’s recovery journey.

To support this family-centered approach, we offer regular family interventions and therapy sessions, both in-person and virtually. You’ll receive daily updates on your child’s progress, ensuring you’re always connected and informed. We’re committed to helping you and your child navigate this challenging time together, rebuilding not just your teen’s life, but also strengthening your family bonds.

At Guardian Recovery, you’re never alone in this process. We’re here to guide, support, and empower your entire family towards healing and renewed hope. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together, creating a brighter future for your teen and your family.

What About School?

At Guardian, we understand that your teen’s education is crucial for their future. That’s why we’re fully committed to getting our adolescent clients back on track academically while they focus on their recovery. Our comprehensive academic program is designed to reignite your child’s passion for learning and set them up for long-term success.

We work closely with your teen’s home school, ensuring seamless integration with their curriculum. Our dedicated educators provide personalized attention and critical interventions to help your child regain good academic standing. But we don’t stop there, we also incorporate physical education and essential life skills into their daily routine, promoting holistic growth and development.

With regular communication between our team and your child’s primary school, we ensure that no academic ground is lost during treatment. At Guardian, we’re not just treating substance use and behavioral issues, we’re nurturing minds, rebuilding confidence, and paving the way for a brighter academic future. Let us help your teen rediscover their potential both in and out of the classroom.

Levels of Care

When a young person develops a physical dependence on substances, suddenly stopping or reducing use can lead to withdrawal symptoms. For teens, this experience can be particularly frightening and overwhelming. Some substances can cause life-threatening withdrawal, while others produce intensely uncomfortable symptoms that might tempt your child to resume use just to feel better.

At Guardian Recovery, we provide medically managed detox tailored specifically for adolescents. Our goal is to ensure your teen’s safety and comfort during this crucial first step of recovery. Our teen-focused detox program includes:

  • Round-the-clock care from medical professionals who specialize in adolescent health
  • Careful monitoring and age-appropriate medication to ease withdrawal symptoms
  • Supportive measures to prevent complications and reduce cravings
  • Optional group and individual therapy sessions designed for young people

We create a nurturing environment that helps your teen transition smoothly from detox to our residential or outpatient programs. Our compassionate team understands the unique needs of adolescents and provides the gentle, expert care your child needs to begin their journey to recovery.

We’re committed to supporting not just your teen, but your entire family through this challenging time. Let us help your child take their first steps towards a healthier, substance-free future.

At Guardian Recovery, we provide a nurturing residential program where your teen can find the structure and support they need. Here, we help adolescents uncover and address the root causes of addiction and mental health challenges. Our compassionate approach empowers your child to master emotional regulation, laying the foundation for a successful return to a new, healthier normal.

Comprehensive Care for Lasting Change

Your teen will live within our safe, supportive treatment facility, participating in a carefully structured series of therapies and activities designed to foster recovery. We blend evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing with holistic approaches such as art therapy, yoga, and mindfulness.

Our program also includes:

  • Individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Life skills training and relapse prevention strategies
  • Peer support and psychoeducation

Balancing Recovery and Education

We understand the importance of your teen’s academic progress. During our average 28-day program, we provide a dedicated educational component classroom time each weekday. This ensures your child can focus on their recovery without falling behind in school.

We’re committed to supporting your teen’s journey to lasting sobriety while nurturing their overall growth and potential. Let us be your partner in guiding your child towards a brighter, healthier future.

At Guardian Recovery, we understand that your teen’s journey to wellness is a step-by-step process. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed as a crucial stepping stone between residential treatment and less intensive outpatient care.

What is PHP?

  • A structured program that meets 5-6 days a week
  • Full days of therapeutic activities and support
  • Allows your teen to live at home or in a sober living facility

A Day in Your Teen’s Life at PHP

Your child will engage in a variety of evidence-based treatments and activities, including:

  • One-on-one therapy sessions
  • Group therapy with peers
  • Family therapy to strengthen your bonds
  • Educational workshops to build life skills
  • Recreational activities for healthy fun
  • Meditation and mindfulness practices
  • This comprehensive approach helps your teen build on the progress they’ve made in residential treatment while gradually increasing their independence. It’s a safe space for them to practice new coping skills and prepare for the challenges of everyday life.

We’re committed to supporting your teen every step of the way. Our PHP offers the structure and guidance they need to continue their healing journey while taking important steps towards a more independent, substance-free life. Let us help your family navigate this crucial phase of recovery with confidence and hope.

At Guardian Recovery, we understand that your teen’s journey to wellness doesn’t pause when they step outside our doors. That’s why our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to support your child’s recovery while allowing them to maintain their daily routines.

What is IOP?

  • A flexible treatment option that fits into your teen’s life
  • Allows attendance at school and participation in regular activities
  • Provides ongoing support while living at home or in a sober living facility

Why Choose IOP?

  • Ideal next step after higher levels of care like detox or residential treatment
  • Can be a standalone option for milder substance use issues
  • Research-backed effectiveness in treating alcohol and drug use disorders

Building a Foundation for Lasting Recovery

Our IOP goes beyond just addressing substance use.

We help your teen:

  • Tackle the root causes of their challenges
  • Develop strategies for maintaining sobriety in everyday life
  • Grow emotionally, mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually

We’re committed to helping your teen reintegrate into their world as a confident, substance-free individual. Our personalized approach ensures that your child receives the support they need to thrive, both in and out of treatment.

Treatment Methods

We believe in a multi-faceted approach to your teen’s treatment. Our program combines three essential types of therapy, each playing a crucial role in your child’s journey to recovery:

Individual Therapy: One-on-One Support

Your teen will work privately with a therapist to uncover root causes of their struggles, set personalized recovery goals, and develop effective coping strategies. This focused, one-on-one attention allows for deep, personalized healing.

Group Therapy: Strength in Shared Experiences

In a supportive peer environment, your teen will share their journey with others who truly understand. They’ll build accountability, offer and receive mutual support, and learn from diverse perspectives. This shared experience can be incredibly empowering and validating for your child.

Family Therapy: Healing Together

We involve you, the family, in the recovery process to improve communication, repair and strengthen relationships, and educate everyone about addiction. This collaborative approach creates a robust support system for your teen, extending the healing process beyond our walls and into your home.

We’re committed to providing your family with the tools and support needed for lasting healing. Our comprehensive therapy approach ensures that your teen receives personalized care while also benefiting from peer support and family involvement.

Understanding is the first step towards healing. That’s why psychoeducation is a cornerstone of our treatment approach for your teen and your family.

What is Psychoeducation?

It’s a powerful tool that provides you and your teen with clear, accurate information about addiction. We cover its causes, effects, and the various treatment options available. This knowledge helps demystify the addiction process and equips your family with the insights needed for recovery.

Why It Matters

By learning about addiction and behavorial issues, you and your teen can:

  • Better understand the challenges you’re facing
  • Reduce feelings of shame or stigma
  • Make informed decisions about treatment and recovery

Our compassionate experts guide you through this learning process, answering questions and addressing concerns along the way. At Guardian Recovery, we’re committed to empowering your family with the knowledge you need to support your teen’s journey to wellness.

We understand that your teen’s struggles may be more complex than they appear on the surface. Often, mental health challenges and substance use disorders go hand in hand – a situation we call co-occurring disorders or dual-diagnosis. It’s like two pieces of a puzzle that need to fit together for true healing to begin.

We believe in treating the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. That’s why our expert team is trained to address both mental health and substance use issues simultaneously. This comprehensive approach gives your child the best chance at lasting recovery.

Our dual-diagnosis treatment program is designed to:

  • Uncover the underlying causes of your teen’s struggles
  • Provide tailored therapies that address both mental health and substance use
  • Equip your child with coping skills to manage both conditions
  • Offer holistic healing techniques that nurture body, mind, and spirit

At Guardian Recovery, we’re committed to helping your teen find balance and wellness in all aspects of their life. Let us guide your family towards a brighter, healthier future where your child can thrive.

Your teen’s path to wellness involves many steps. That’s why we offer comprehensive addiction and behavorial case management, a personalized approach to guide your child through recovery.

Our dedicated case managers work closely with your family to:

  • Assess your teen’s unique needs and create a tailored recovery plan
  • Coordinate a network of services and support
  • Advocate for your child’s best interests
  • Monitor progress and adjust the plan as needed
  • Provide education on addiction and recovery
  • Empower your teen to take charge of their healing journey

Think of our case managers as your family’s recovery navigators. They’re here to ensure your teen receives the right care at the right time, connecting all the pieces of treatment into a cohesive, effective program.

With Guardian Recovery’s case management, you can feel confident that your teen has the structured support they need to navigate the challenges of recovery and build a foundation for lasting wellness.

Healing is an ongoing process. Our commitment to your family doesn’t end when your teen completes their treatment program.

We’re here to help you navigate the next steps:

  • We’ll assist you in finding additional services crucial for your teen’s long-term recovery
  • Our network of trusted partners offers a wide range of support options
  • We can connect you with resources in your local community, ensuring continuity of care

Your teen’s journey to wellness is unique, and we’re dedicated to supporting that journey every step of the way. Let us help your family transition smoothly from treatment to thriving in everyday life. Your teen’s bright future starts here, and continues with our ongoing support and guidance.

We believe in the power of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help your teen overcome addiction. This proven approach is a cornerstone of our treatment program, offering a path to lasting change.

CBT is more than just talk therapy. It’s a powerful tool that helps your teen understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Our skilled therapists guide your child to recognize negative patterns that fuel substance use, then work together to challenge and change these patterns.

Through CBT, your teen will develop practical skills to manage cravings, cope with stress, and make healthier choices. This isn’t about quick fixes, it’s about equipping your child with lifelong tools for recovery and well-being.

At Guardian Recovery, we’re committed to using evidence-based methods like CBT to support your teen’s journey to a substance-free life. Let us help your child rewrite their story, one thought at a time.

Your teen’s journey to healing is complex. That’s why we offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a powerful approach that goes beyond traditional treatment methods.

DBT is like a bridge between acceptance and change. It teaches your teen to acknowledge their feelings without judgment, while also developing skills to manage intense emotions that can fuel substance use and behavorial issues. Through mindfulness practices and emotional regulation techniques, your child will learn to navigate life’s challenges without turning to harmful behaviors.

Our expert therapists guide your teen through this transformative process, helping them build resilience, improve relationships, and find balance in their lives. DBT isn’t just about overcoming addiction, it’s about equipping your child with lifelong skills for emotional well-being.

At Guardian Recovery, we’re committed to providing your teen with the most effective, compassionate care. Let us help your child discover their inner strength and path to lasting recovery through the power of DBT.

Behavorial issues don’t just affect your teen, they impact your entire family. That’s why we offer Family Systems Therapy, an approach that sees your family as a interconnected unit, not just a collection of individuals.

This powerful therapy helps you understand how your family’s dynamics may unknowingly contribute to or maintain addiction. Together, we’ll explore patterns of interaction, communication styles, and roles within your family. By doing so, we can identify areas for growth and positive change.

Our compassionate therapists guide your family through this journey of discovery and healing. You’ll learn new ways to support each other, improve communication, and create a home environment that fosters recovery.

At Guardian Recovery, we believe that when families heal together, the impact is profound and lasting. Let us help your family build a stronger, healthier future – one where your teen’s recovery is supported by the love and understanding of those who matter most.

Parenting a teen struggling with behavorial issues can feel overwhelming and isolating. But you don’t have to face this challenge alone.

We offer a unique opportunity for you to connect with other parents who have walked in your shoes. These connections provide a safe space to share your experiences, fears, and hopes. Here, you’ll find understanding without judgment, and gain valuable insights from those who truly get it.

Through these parent-to-parent connections, you can exchange coping strategies, celebrate victories (big and small), and offer each other the kind of support that only comes from shared experience. It’s not just about getting through the tough times, it’s about building a network of support that can last well beyond your teen’s treatment.

At Guardian Recovery, we believe in the power of community. Let us help you find strength, hope, and practical wisdom in the company of other parents who understand your journey. Together, we can navigate the path to healing – for your teen and your entire family.

Your teen’s education is crucial, even during treatment. That’s why academics are a cornerstone of our program.

We work hand-in-hand with your child’s school district to ensure they stay on track. Our team coordinates with teachers to align our academic sessions with your teen’s curriculum, making sure they earn attendance credits and keep pace with their classmates.

Every day, we dedicate time to structured academic and physical education activities. This approach helps your teen maintain their academic progress while focusing on recovery. It’s not just about keeping up, it’s about preparing for a successful return to school and life after treatment.

With Guardian Recovery, you can feel confident that your child’s educational needs are met alongside their therapeutic ones. We’re committed to nurturing both their recovery and their academic future, setting the stage for a brighter tomorrow.

A Fresh Start is Within Reach

Reach out now to learn more. Health, hope, and healing are one call away.

Personalized care is a pillar of our program. As such, we have a 1:1 staff-to-client ratio, and the maximum number of clients we accept at one time is 16. This enables us to develop nurturing relationships with each client, which in turn allows us to uncover the hidden causes of addiction and mental health issues and to provide the precise care to meet each child’s needs.

Simply put, we strive to restore not only health and sobriety but also joy and a zest for living. To do so, we uncover the hidden causes of addiction and mental health concerns. We then provide highly tailored solutions to address these issues, involving the family and/or guardians whenever possible. In effect, we treat the whole person, not just the addiction.

Quality treatment centers located in your backyard can be convenient and easy to access. However, they’re also situated near old triggers, which can heighten the likelihood of relapse, particularly in the early stages of recovery. While certainly not required, putting a bit of distance between adolescents and their triggers can be beneficial.

Yes. Family involvement is a pivotal aspect of our treatment process, as the family unit plays a crucial role in the successful recovery and reintegration of our clients. During treatment, we engage families through several key initiatives.

Family involvement starts with the initial consultations and entry conferences, where they are introduced to the treatment plan and the team responsible for their child’s care. This involvement continues with regular updates and meetings, ensuring that families are informed and active participants in the recovery journey. Together, clients and their loved ones work to improve communication, resolve conflict, and set and maintain healthy boundaries.

Additionally, we offer dedicated family therapy sessions, both virtually and in-person, providing a space for open communication and addressing any underlying issues within the family dynamics. Our program also includes family support groups, which provide education and peer support, allowing participants to share their experiences and challenges. Discharge conferences are also held to discuss post-treatment plans and strategies for reintegrating the child into the family environment.

This comprehensive approach to family involvement not only aids in recovery but also fosters a supportive and understanding environment at home, which is crucial for long-term success.

Academics are a fundamental component of our program. To ensure that adolescents maintain their educational progress while undergoing treatment, we actively collaborate with each client’s home school district to facilitate attendance credits and ensure alignment with their academic curriculum. This includes coordination for both general education and special education as needed.

Recognizing the importance of continuing education, we established a robust system to integrate academic learning into the recovery process. We allocate dedicated time each day for academic pursuits, including structured academic and physical education activities. Our approach ensures that while our clients focus on their recovery, they do not fall behind academically, enabling a smoother transition back to their school environment post-treatment.

For clients who may have been out of the school system prior to entering care, we offer access to an online schooling platform called Advantages. It provides an alternative route to education via a flexible and tailored experience.

This holistic approach to treatment and education underscores our commitment to the overall well-being and future success of our adolescent clients.

Any new doctor-approved medications and/or changes to existing medications are discussed with parents or guardians prior to implementation. If your teen already has a psychiatrist or prescribing primary care provider, please sign the ROI to ensure that we can communicate with these individuals during your child’s stay. This allows us to verify past treatment and communicate any medication additions or changes for post-treatment care.

Yes. Visitation occurs Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Visitors are limited to family members and guardians at least 18 years of age. Prior to visitation, visitors must be approved by clinical staff and must attend a Family Support Session.

Yes, you can mail packages to your teen’s attention at Guardian Recovery – Boca Raton Adolescent Center, 1700 NW Boca Raton Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432.  All packages are opened and inspected by staff prior to distribution.

While Guardian Recovery has several outpatient options for adolescent services, we coordinate discharge planning regardless of the post-treatment services you choose. Discharge planning is discussed during your weekly calls and at your family therapy sessions. We also provide parents and/or guardians with discharge instructions and a discharge summary.

Yes, insurance usually covers all or part of detox and treatment costs, thanks to regulations such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). The ACA requires that insurance companies cover all essential health benefits, including mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Meanwhile, the MHPAEA secures your access to addiction and mental health benefits by preventing health insurance companies from imposing unfavorable benefit limitations. We offer free no obligation insurance benefits checks to help you navigate your policy and make the best descsion on your childs treatment.

We accept most insurance plans. But the best way to know what is covered and how much treatment will cost is to reach out to one of our treatment advisors. In addition to answering your questions, they can check your insurance benefits to determine roughly how much you’ll pay for care. If you don’t have insurance, additional payment options are available. The call is free and confidential, and you’re under no obligation to choose our treatment program.

Nationally Accredited & Recognized

Filling a gap in current care models, Guardian Recovery’s Path Program provides in-home behavioral healthcare for those who’ve recently transitioned out of residential and/or outpatient care. It also steps in when treatment centers are full or geographically inaccessible, when existing residential care doesn’t meet client needs, and more.

Providing care where it’s needed most, the Path Program offers evidence-based treatment including ongoing therapy, medication management, peer support, etc. Eliminating barriers, our convenient care fosters client accountability, helps prevent relapse, and ensures continuity of care for those age 13 and older.

Delivered via behavioral health professionals hyper-focused on each client, this come-to-you care removes accessibility, transportation, and privacy barriers and ensures continuity of care.  For clients, having someone in their corner—and their homes—tampers anxiety, reduces isolation, and mitigates feelings of overwhelm that often arise during or following treatment.

Additionally, the Path Program provides holistic care to support whole-person healing. Along with life-skills training and employment counseling, the program helps clients connect with peers to foster ongoing wellness and/or sobriety. By bridging the gap between traditional treatment and long-term recovery, the Path Program transforms individual lives and strengthens families.

What sets our adolescent program apart is the recognition that each young person’s journey is distinct. Thus, we tailor our approach to each individual’s needs, fostering the skills and resilience that are essential for long-term recovery. Our program schedule is robust, blending traditional therapy with creative and engaging activities like music, art, and movement therapy. All forms of substance abuse, whether the addiction is to alcohol, drugs, or both, take a significant toll on all aspects of a person’s life. At New Pathway, our addiction treatment specialists work with adults, teens, and their families to heal their minds, bodies, and spirits. Our program addresses all areas within the individual, Body, Mind and Spirit. Through Functional Integrated Therapy, we foster the development of the client’s awareness. Our professional and clinical experience finds the SOARFIT model creates a state of mind best suited to optimize body and brain function, fueled by the spirit. The program integrates 12 step philosophy, mindfulness, physical fitness, holistic wellness and medical treatment when appropriate. Included in the treatment program is family counseling, positive peer mentorship, and a caring, motivating environment which encourages commitment and yields the highest rate of success for long lasting sobriety.

Are you struggling with addiction to pain medication or heroin? We have a solution that will help you. By integrating the most effective medically assisted outpatient treatment we stabilize and restore our clients to fully functioning productivity.

To ensure your success in treatment, we offer a specialized clinical consultation with a board certified physician.

When abused, pain medication and heroin, which are referred to as opiates, cause long-term changes in the brain. Therefore, if an opiate user suddenly stops use of the drug, without medical supervision, experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms is likely. Some reactions the body may have as a result of the opiate deprivation include:

  • nausea, vomiting, and lower gi disturbances
  • sleeplessness, restlessness, and trembling
  • severe muscle cramping and bone pain
  • spikes in blood pressure and heart rate
  • persistent and often overwhelming cravings

Since opiate withdrawal is painful and unpleasant, those addicted to pain medication and/or heroin often abandon their recovery attempts. However, many do not know there is another way to escape the pain and suffering associated with opiate withdrawal medicated assisted treatment (mat). Mat replaces the pain medication and/or heroin with suboxone. Through the use of these pharmacological interventions, as many as 90 percent of opiate users are able to abstain from the drugs they abused.

Since 2002, The Plymouth House has been providing individuals and their families hope for a better life, free from addiction. We are not a treatment center in the traditional sense of the term. We are a 12-Step retreat, nestled in the gorgeous foothills of the White Mountains, where individuals come to disconnect and dive deep into working the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Our founder, Tom S., believed wholeheartedly in the power of the 12 Steps to transform lives. The Steps give individuals the spiritual and emotional tools necessary to lead fulfilling, joyful, meaningful, love-filled lives. The Steps are a pathway leading to true, lifelong recovery.

In 2021, The Plymouth House joined Guardian Recovery Network, a leader in substance use disorder treatment with two decades of experience providing a full continuum of care for clients and their families throughout the recovery process. By joining Guardian Recovery Network, The Plymouth House was able to combine its expertise as a 12-Step retreat with Guardian’s world-class excellence in medical and clinical care.

Being a part of Guardian Recovery Network has allowed The Plymouth House to expand its medical and clinical staff to include primary care physicians, licensed psychiatrists, and experienced clinicians. This has opened the door for individuals wishing to cover the cost of treatment with health insurance. Now The Plymouth House excels in all areas — medical, clinical and the 12-Step recovery process.

Combining extensive client feedback with sound clinical research, our addiction treatment professionals have strategically crafted the Tampa Addiction Center experience to best serve clients and their families as they begin to rebuild their lives.

Detox is the vital first step toward recovery. It is a critical time to build the firm foundation on which an individual’s long term recovery will be built. The Tampa Addiction Center experience is designed to make the withdrawal process as safe and comfortable as possible. Rather than detoxing in a sterile, hospital setting, clients undergo detox in a serene, cozy, homestyle facility with compassionate staff and a world-class clinical team.

As our client’s minds and bodies detoxify, we begin to address the deeper roots of addiction. While addressing the physical manifestations of addiction is essential, addressing the mental, emotional and spiritual effects of addiction is also imperative. Individual, group and family therapy is offered in addition to holistic treatment methods, 12-step recovery tools and detailed aftercare planning. Every client completes detox with a clear path forward. We help clients find hope and launch confidently into the next phase of their recovery.
